DMA shortlisted for the Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards for Responsible Business

We are very proud to have been shortlisted for the 2022 Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards. We are one of only 14 companies in the running for these prestigious awards, held by the City of London Corporation to recognise firms from all different sectors which go the extra mile to benefit communities through their responsible business programmes. This year’s awards have a particular focus on companies promoting socio-economic diversity, a key theme of Lord Mayor Vincent Keaveny’s year in office, and so we feel particularly pleased to be shortlisted for the Inclusive Employment Award as a company making a real difference.

Our Virtual Design Academy initiative came about because we were worried about the effects of young people not being able to get relevant experience during the pandemic. By utilising an online sharing platform to provide an open-learning experience that equips young people with highly relevant digital design skills, we are now able to offer our award-winning, five day work experience programme to an even wider range of young people across the UK, so helping to address the skills shortage and lack of diversity in the profession.

Congratulations to the other shortlisted companies – more information about the awards and the full shortlist can be found here. Winners are to be announced in September at The Mansion House.
