Project Description
Some of the first Council owned social housing to be developed in Lewisham for over 30 years, this project replaces a number of old, under-used garages with 9 new affordable flats and 8 private houses. It develops one of a series of design feasibilities that we have done for Lewisham Council, working closely with residents and planners to understand context, constraints and local needs. The buildings are of textured brick with copper coloured, anodised aluminium metalwork and are built into the sloping site to protect sight lines. Improved landscaping and access provide a communal green space that can be enjoyed by residents.
