DMA at BIM Show Live

BIM Show Live brings digital construction content to life and three of our team will be sharing DMA’s recent innovations. The two-day conference, with specialist technology-led content, four keynote speakers and 32 seminar sessions, addresses everything new in the world of digital construction, from robotics to smart technologies. BIM Show Live has become one of the most trusted platforms for learning, knowledge sharing and industry insight for all things digital construction in the UK and beyond. Over the course of the two days, to ensure visitors to the show are equipped with skills to stay ahead of the game, four content streams are covered – Technology, Stories, People and Next Generation.

DMA is excited to be part of this event and to announce our Speakers for BIM Show Live 2020.

Andrew “Das” de Silva focuses on innovation, quality and risk management throughout the practice. He leads strategic R&D projects to create new solutions and services.

On Thursday 27th February, Das will be speaking about asset management and applying BIM processes digitally to meet today’s regulatory requirements.

Andy Wood has worked on a wide range of projects from inception to completion across sectors. As well as having a great track record in delivering buildings, he is instrumental in developing digital innovation within the practice and explores technology-led design solutions, environmental strategies and modern methods of construction.

Andy will be speaking at BIM Show Live on Wednesday 26th February. His talk includes case studies and is centred on using digital technology to increase productivity.

Viorel Mihailuc joined the practice in 2018 as one of the first cohort of students studying for the BSc in Architectural Technology with BIM at Middlesex University. This is the innovative new course that David Miller Architects (DMA) helped set up. Already highly proficient in Revit and knowledgeable about BIM Level 2, Vio combined his studies with working at the Building Research Establishment (BRE), further enhancing his technical capabilities. We’re proud to say that he graduated with a First Class Honours degree.

Vio is looking forward to speaking at BIM Show Live on Wednesday 26th February. He will be speaking about DMA’s new approach to project and information management over the past 12 months and how this has increased productivity.

We’re very excited to have our team at this year’s BIM Show Live event and, we can’t wait to see you there too! BIM Show Live will once again be staged in Newcastle’s Boiler Shop, Stephenson’s Quarter – on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th February 2020. For more details and tickets, click here.
