Projects
Conservation and the retrofit of existing buildings is an important part of what we do, upgrading fabric, introducing more efficient services, and adapting for renewable energy sources. Often in sensitive locations and involving listed buildings, our approach combines creativity and technical know-how to meet Net Zero targets.
We work with Local Authorities, Academy Trusts, Independent Schools and Universities to create inspiring spaces for learning, teaching and research. We have built 15 major new schools and, as Technical Advisors to the Government’s Department for Education, helped open almost 50 other new facilities.
We design housing that improves people’s lives and the communities they live in. We have built over 1,500 new homes in the last ten years and offer services ranging from planning applications for small infills to the wholesale redevelopment of large sites, estate regeneration and master planning.
With an increased focus on improved health outcomes, the demand for specialist accommodation has grown rapidly. DMA are at the forefront of designing purpose-built research laboratories and manufacturing space for life sciences and we are experienced in designing a range of healthcare facilities.
Creativity and technical rigour are embedded into how we work and this allows us to readily embrace new sectors and new challenges.
In these types of public-facing venues, giving end users an outstanding experience is a priority. We do this by combining creativity with digital design expertise to deliver complex, phased projects that keep spaces functioning whilst the work happens behind the scenes.
We understand that workspace needs are continually evolving and use our experience to rapidly space plan and explore ideas with clients. Whether this is for the fit-out of existing premises or new shell and core buildings, our emphasis is on creating flexible and attractive places where people want to work.
