Our colleague, Ana Diéguez, had a great day in Liverpool attending two fringe events at The Housing Community Summit.

At Accelerating Regeneration: Turning Challenge into Opportunity, hosted by the Save Construction Initiative, the discussion highlighted the importance of place-based solutions, early collaboration and listening to local communities. The message was clear – bringing the right expertise together from the outset is key to creating better, more resilient places.

She also explored Festival Gardens: Designing the Neighbourhood of the Future with Urban Splash and igloo Regeneration. The walking tour and Jonathan Falkingham MBE’s presentation really brought the vision to life: a vibrant, low-carbon and multigenerational neighbourhood shaped by high-quality design, generous green space and a strong sense of place.

Two inspiring events, and plenty of valuable ideas about turning regeneration challenges into opportunities through collaboration.
