DMA Present at the UN Global Compact Climate Ambition Accelerator

Not only has Jessica Hardy, our Studio Manager, recently completed her MSc in Sustainability and Behaviour Change with Distinction but, last week, she presented her research findings to the UN Global Compact Climate Ambition Accelerator 2025 peer learning session.

Jessica’s research explored how our technical team’s relationship with nature influences their design decision-making, with the team taking part in nature engagement activities, which were found to increase both their relationship with nature and their likelihood to engage with regenerative design principles. Nature engagement is now seen as a tool within the practice to maintain the prioritisation of nature and environmental protection amongst our team, supporting our mission to reduce our environmental impact. Jessica highlighted to the cohort businesses how increasing the nature connectedness of individuals within a business could help to motivate their staff to engage with environmentally positive behaviours and support progress towards their organisation’s climate targets.

Jessica was also able to speak on their alumni panel to share her experience of taking part in the programme last year and share what we have done since. The Climate Ambition Accelerator programme has provided DMA with high-quality guidance on setting net-zero targets, and we would highly recommend that other SMEs sign up to their next cohort.
