David is in Santiago de Chile this week, taking part in an event organised to “support the internationalisation of innovation”. The event, Enexpro Servicios & Industrias Creativas 2018, aims to connect service exporters and buyers from different markets and is part of Chile’s goal to increase and diversify their exports, especially services.

Chile is taking a forward-thinking approach, embracing digital design and BIM implementation and becoming a leading proponent in Latin America, and there is an ongoing arrangement between the UK and Chile to share BIM knowledge in the support of trade growth between our two countries. We have been working closely with Digital Built Britain (a partnership between the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and Innovate UK to create a digital economy for infrastructure, buildings and services) to help promote the UK’s BIM expertise.

This is David’s second trip to Chile this year and it is very exciting to be making connections with like-minded organisations in this fast-developing international environment. For more information about our involvement in these opportunities, see here.
