This carefully curated new programme is designed to help architectural practices gain from looking to the horizon to identify sources of change and opportunity, and DMA have already benefitted by learning from Urban Splash and Arup explaining why they make this a priority. In the first webinar on 20th March they make a clear case for foresight, and our Practice Director Fiona Clark shares how smaller firms can also look to the future despite having fewer resources. The programme unfolds over the coming months through a series of 16 horizon scans from expert contributors across the world providing insight on trends in the environment, the economy, population change and technical innovation – an amazing opportunity for practices like us to access such expertise.
This recent article by Adrian Malleson in the RIBA Journal gives a flavour of why horizon scanning is important as well as details of the programme – definitely worth tuning in for!
