There is always a lot going on at the fantastic Fitzrovia Community Centre, across the road from our London studio. Last week, Fiona, who supports the centre as a trustee, joined the latest ‘Healthy Eating on a Budget Programme’ class. This brilliant 6-week programme is run by Feast With Us, a charity that aims to improve the nutrition, well-being and health of people at risk of food insecurity in London, and it teaches people about cooking on a budget, giving them nutrition theory and practical cooking techniques. It was lovely to see all the participants doing so well and passing their Food Safety Level 2 assessments with flying colours and then having lunch together and sampling the fruits of their labours. All credit to Sandra from Feast whose passion and expertise never fail to motivate and enthuse everyone around her to create delicious meals ‘made with love’.
