It’s great to see the VERSA project at 4 Brandon Road progressing, with the site having broken ground and the first basement slab pour due to commence imminently. This is the second of a series of developments that we are working on for our client, Kadans Science Partner and it sits right next door to MAYDE, the new lab and research facility that completed last summer. Both projects are ground breaking in that they provide lettable small-scale manufacturing alongside lab and write-up space for start-ups, grow-on and larger established companies, all within the same building. With two more developments in the pipeline, they form an exciting innovation district, Tileyard Quarter, within the wider King’s Cross Knowledge Quarter.

It is also really positive to see the Knowledge Quarter being showcased in the New London Growth Plan launched by the Mayor of London and London Councils. The plan emphasises the importance of specialist innovation clusters to create centres of expertise. We’re proud to be part of this initiative and the useful research and local employment opportunities that it will bring.
